Varying Lux values at Low gain and 100 ms integration time. Long time to stabilize.

I have a setup where I have a bright light on the sensor. I am trying to get the transmitted light intensity from the sensor in order to determine the composition of a sample. The issue I'm facing right now is that the lux values vary too much when I turn on the sensor, with just the LED light incident. The numbers start of high, and slowly decrease over time. It does stabilize eventually, but it usually takes 2 minutes or so to stabilize. I have the sensor connected to an Arduino R4 minima. It is powered by 5V output from the Arduino. The LED is powered by a 3.3 Vout pin from the R4 minima.

that would be an issue with the sensor itself and not the library since the readings are working - you could ask AMS for support
