Nothing is printing

When I run like:

sudo ./pt1230 -v 0 -f testing.file -u

testing.file is generated with:

./textlabel testing > testing.file

output:

Media type: 1

nothing happened. Any ideas?

ok, I think I solved my own problem. Docs are not very good here.

First I verified it worked when hooked up to my PC running Brother stock software. This verified my printer was ok and labels were ok (this is a used, free printer someone gave me with no history).

sudo ./pt1230 -f testing.file -b

adding the -b at the end seems to make it work!

Hmm, interesting.

I end up running ./textlabel "<text> " --font "Arial" | sudo ./pt1230 -d /dev/usb/lp0 -b when I want to print something. Replacing the <text> with the desired text, and changing /dev/usb/lp0 with the port that the printer is using. I also have to add a space after it, otherwise the cutter cuts the last letter in half.
