Detect connectivity issues

I was out of the loop on "haxx" for quite a while. While using OCS, having an old DNS server set, like the now malfunctioning "tubehaxx DNS", will cause the program to get stuck on "Parsing JSON". I luckily remembered after a while that I had once set a custom DNS. After enabling Google DNS, it worked just fine.

Maybe try adding a connection check of some sorts to rule out user error even more. Thanks in advance!
