v2.3.1 Shared Link error

I have searched the existing issues, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate report.

The bug

When I share a link, the page works initially. But after scrolling through a few swipes, the page shows the errors "Error
Cannot navigate to the next asset." And, "Page not found. Failed to fetch."

This issue first came up in v2.3.0, and continues in v2.3.1. This also happens on both Android (14 and 16) and iOS 18 (I think it's 18, not an iPhone user anymore so not sure). I tested this on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox and it happens on all 3. Also tried on multiple wifi networks and cellular.

Additionally, iOS CAN download individual photos, but CANNOT download an entire shared link from the main page at this time. It crashes when getting close to the end.

Reproduction steps

1. Select photos from the Immich app.
2. Create a shared link. I usually put a expiration time on it. Between 7 days a a month. Not sure if this impacts the issue.
3. Open the link and start scrolling
4. Or, click a photo and start going through the photos using the left and right arrows.
5. The error messages will shortly follow. Some users it doesn't do it right away, but some it happens almost instantly.

Does it work without any reverse proxy? Can you reproduce it on https://demo.immich.app/ ?

I cannot get it to repeat on the demo server. My phone has a slightly different error message. It says:

NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource.
