The flow works fine without the gauge-node. As soon as the gauge-node is added, the flow breaks with:

That break is in the original FT6206 touch driver, not the ECMA-419 driver. It is after initialization, so the driver was able to communicate with the touch controller during initialization. The gauge node shouldn't interfere with that. I'm not able to take a look at the moment, but will when I can.

I tried to move the ui-node directly behind the first inject-node. Same behavior.
Is it maybe a I2C thing where the FT6206 and the following I2C nodes somehow interact?

That makes a bit more sense. I think there may be an interaction between the original and ECMA-419 I²C implementations. They aren't really intended to be used together. I'll check that. If that's the case, there should be a straightforward solution.

I looked into this a bit, but because I don't have the SHT3x temperature sensor I'm limited in what I can try. It looks possible that the problem would be resolved by switching to the esp32/moddable_two_io build target instead of esp32/moddable_two. The former uses the ECMA-419 touch sensor, which completely eliminates using the original (non-ECMA-419) I²C support. Would you give that a try? If it doesn't work, I can look further in the coming days.

The only UI Node that implements support for Mustache is the Text node. The nodes expect the value to be in in msg.payload.
